Why we should use the Oxford Comma
A direct quote from The Times newspaper, talking about a Peter Ustinov documentary and saying that:
“highlights of his global tour include encounters with Nelson Mandela, an 800-year-old demigod and a dildo collector”.
okay fine i’ll start using the oxford comma
But… you mean Nelson Mandela ISN’T an 800-year-old demigod? OR a dildo collector?
Well, we don’t know he isn’t…
Seriously, you can’t read this sentence and know there are three subjects being mentioned?
Lighten up, Ali. It’s a joke.
