I need feminism because body and sexuality shaming are not okay.

Nice body!
Thanks for “objectifying” yourself for the benefit of the male gaze! 8/10.

LOL!! Yes thank you! I’m sure guys looking at this care about reading that sign and totally aren’t checking you out and fantasizing about you LOL

dude she doesn’t give a fuck, she’s doing it to feel sexy, and it’s empowering to her, so all you conservatives can go suck a fucking tree.

She’s empowered by men beating off to her pictures at night?? LOL Okay………..

Um ok, these comments are proving her point. It doesn’t matter what a girl is wearing, it is NOT OK to objectify her. Objectification of anyone is wrong, no matter what they are wearing. Someone could be walking down the street naked, and you still should not objectify them. Sure, you may think that people (read: women, since men can apparently wear what they want to but girls can’t?) should cover up, but that doesn’t mean that when girl posts a picture of herself in her underwear that you can objectify her and shame her- LIKE HER POSTER IS SAYING.
So thanks for proving her point and helping prove why feminism is necessary!

Regardless of what I’m wearing, I am still a human with plenty of coherent thoughts and emotions. Treating me like I am less is not okay. Yes, I have a body. Yes, I am a sexual being, like most humans. No, I am no just a body, nor am I just present for sex. I did not objectify myself. Displaying ones sexuality is not the objectifying action. The person observing that and deciding to treat me like I am not a person, but a sexual object is the person taking part in the objectification. The guys that are supposedly checking out this picture and supposedly “beating off” have obviously missed the point. I am empowered by the idea that my body is mine, and it is nothing to be ashamed of. By the idea that my sexuality is a good thing and nothing to ever be put down for.
So thank you to the lovely people that have defended me and my statement.

amen.

Fuck the haters AND the pervs. That’s a rockin’ body.
